This is the newest form of art that Dave has engaged in for the past two years, inspired by the works of Asheville mosaic artists, Linda Pannullo and Leene Hermann. Dave's first work was done from a photograph of his cat, Gray Boy, affixed to a medium density fiber board. After completing the panel, his enthusiasm to continue creating in this medium has grown.
Dave completed a workshop, conducted by renowned UK mosaic artist, Martin Cheek, in combining fused with cut pieces of glass, that resulted in a mosaic peacock panel. While engaged in its construction, Dave received many compliments from people who passed by his studio. Although currently in process, it will soon be finished and hung on his glass studio wall.
He looks forward to completing future projects, using smalti and stone or marble. Perhaps you have a pet that you would like to remember in mosaic art. If that is the case, please consult with Dave how your furry friend can be immortalized through glass.
