This is the newest form of art that Dave has engaged in for the many years, inspired by the works of Asheville, NC mosaic artists, Linda Pannullo and Leene Hermann. Dave's first work was done from a photograph of his former cat, Gray Boy, affixed to a medium density fiber board. After completing the panel, his enthusiasm to continue creating in this glass medium has grown.
Dave completed a workshop in 2019, conducted by renowned UK mosaic artist, Martin Cheek, in combining fused with cut pieces of glass, that resulted in a mosaic peacock panel, which resides currently in the Daytona Beach, FL home of a friend. While engaged in its construction, Dave received many compliments from people who passed by his studio.
He looks forward to completing future projects, using smalti, tile, stone or marble. Perhaps you have a pet that you would like to remember in mosaic art. If so, please consult with Dave how your furry or feathery friend can be creatively expressed through a mosaic glass panel.
